Azerbaijan marks progress on Trans-Anatolia Pipeline
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani government is satisfied with the course of working out of Trans-Anatolia Gas Pipeline (TANAP) for delivery of Azeri gas to western regions of Turkey and to the Turkish-Bulgarian border.
At today’s meeting of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC) Natig Aliyev, the Minister of Industry & Energy of Azerbaijan, has said that they need to keep production stable for a long time – they have large reserves of gas and it is needed growth of gas production, new sales markets, in particularly in the EU.
"Now the course of work on TANAP is good. The Project will ensure delivery of Azeri gas to Europe, regardless of anyone else. If we solve all issues in an expedient way, then the transit role of Azerbaijan will also increase," Aliyev stated.
TANAP minimum capacity will be 10 bn cu m and the maximum one about 30 bn cu m of gas a year.
