Statoil interested in extension of activity in Azerbaijan

Baku – APA-Economics. The President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev has met the delegation led by Statoil’s Executive Vice President Lars Christian Baker.

According to APA-Economics, Abdullayev noted that 2013 assumes great importance from viewpoint of extension the relations between the both companies. He informed on the implementation of the largest joint projects of the two companies in 2013 – realization of the first and second phases of the development of gas condensate Shah Deniz field, as well as the creation of the Southern Gas Corridor.

In turn, Baker stated that Statoil will be actively involved in these and other projects in Azerbaijan in 2013 and subsequent years.

Moreover, other issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
