Industry News17.02.2014 10:15 Bulgarian Prime Minister to visit Azerbaijan next week
Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev has met with the delegation led by Bulgarian Minister of Economy and Energy Dragomir Stoynev.
The Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics that talks were held to coordinate the issues that will be discussed during the official visit of Bulgarian Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski to Azerbaijan on February 18-20. The delegation led by Stoynev included Bulgarian Prime Minister’s advisor for international issues and secretary of the National Security Council under Bulgarian Cabinet of Ministers Boyan Chukov, Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy in charge of tourism affairs Branimir Botev, coordinator for Bulgarian Prime Minister’s visit to Azerbaijan Dimitar Bratanov, Bulgaria’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Maya Christova and other officials. The participants of the meeting expressed satisfaction with the current level of the relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, said there is great potential to improve the cooperation. Natig Aliyev spoke about the dynamics of the bilateral relations, underlined Azerbaijan’s role in Europe’s energy security. The Minister also gave detailed information about the economic projects. The sides underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation in all spheres, including economic, humanitarian, industrial and energy sectors. Stoynev said Azerbaijan is recognized in Bulgaria as an energy country. “Azerbaijan and Bulgaria are holding gas talks. We are cooperating with Azerbaijan not only in the sphere of energy, but also in other spheres. But we want to enhance cooperation in this direction,” he said. Development of the bilateral relations and importance of mutual visits were underlined at the meeting.
